Emerging Trends in Volunteer Engagement Speaker: Lowell Aplebaum
Volunteers are the lifeblood of any association – the strategic visionaries with industry insight, the subject matter experts training the future, the unpaid work force giving back. In this session we will explore how our volunteer management programs need to adapt to fit the needs of today’s volunteers. We will examine research and approaches to address such factors as: - Engaging the next generation earlier - Retaining the time, treasure, and talent of retiring leaders - Redefining ‘volunteer’ in a world with social media - Volunteer recognition – recognizing superstars early and often - Sustainable volunteer incubators
