Members are the lifeblood of any association. Organizations like yours spend a lot of time and energy attracting, retaining and trying to motivate members, not always with the results you hoped for. You've probably wondered why some members engage while others disengage, and the reasons may not be what you think.
Association coach and consultant Jim Roman has spent the last 20 years studying not only associations but the business ownders and professionals who make up their memberships. He knows that whether members join your association to make connections, to get in continuing education requirements, to network for other reasons, understanding what they need and want from you is the key to making your association indispensable to your members. Being indispensable to your members is critical to cultivating a strong, active, growing membership that is the foundation of a healthy, dynamic organization. In his talk on how to be indispensable to your members, Jim will discuss:

 Jim Roman
Jim Roman is a Speaker, Trainer and Consultant who specializes in accelerating the growth of businesses and organizations while still preserving time for themselves, their families and their community.
Raised in his parent’s restaurant and seeing his Dad pass away at 62, he saw how his parents never had the time to enjoy life. He is now determined to show business owners how to achieve their goals without letting their businesses run their lives.
Jim has worked with thousands of organizations to figure out what is holding them back from going to the NEXT level. His inspiring and direct approach to building a better business has provided extreme value for his clients.
Jim has built and sold several successful businesses including the BNI - Business Network International Central Virginia Franchise, which he quickly built to over 1,600 members in less than six years.
One thing you may not know about Jim is that he used to work on aircraft armament systems while serving in the United States Air Force.
