Crystal Washington

Hired by companies including Google, Microsoft and GE, companies in the USA, Africa and Europe book Crystal Washington when they want their teams to take action online!

Crystal is known for her ability to take complex Web and social media topics and make them easy to understand and accessible for everyday people and small business owners. As the owner of CWM Enterprises and co-founder of Socialtunities, a social media instructional brand aimed at training everyone from Gen Y’s to Baby Boomers in strategically using social media, Crystal educates consumers on the practical applications of social media networks like Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and YouTube.

Crystal hosts a weekly technology segment on Houston’s Fox television affiliate and has appeared in Black Enterprise Magazine, Essence and CareerBuilder.com. She has been interviewed by ABC, NBC, FOX, CBS, Associated Press, and numerous radio stations and magazines around the globe as a social media expert.

Crystal is the author of One Tech Action and The Social Media Why.

Crystal’s career began in corporate sales.  As the youngest manager in her company, she immediately shot to the top, closing contracts with Fortune 500 firms previously unattainable by her company, exceeding aggressive sales goals and leveraging relationships and creative strategies to gain lucrative contracts.  The result?  By age 24, she was overseeing a staff of Gen Xers and Baby Boomers.

While Crystal was enjoying success in corporate America, she had a desire to start her own marketing firm to leverage the power of a new online phenomena – social networks.  Now bit by the entrepreneurial bug, she set out on her own to start her marketing firm.  For the next three years, she helped hundreds of organizations leverage social media marketing to increase their bottom line through consulting, marketing services, special events, webinars and products.

Companies and organizations began reaching out to Crystal to speak at annual conferences and training events.  She was almost always asked to speak at the next event, immediately after speaking at the first.  Conference and event planners quickly received feedback from attendees about the impact she had on them; including emails outlining how attendees utilized the information Crystal presented and immediately began using social media and other techniques, resulting in lucrative contracts, media appearances, etc.  Crystal quickly realized that she could impact a larger number of individuals through professional speaking.

Today, Crystal still operates as a marketing strategist and is frequently sought after by brands wanting to leverage unique marketing strategy and companies who want their employees to leverage tools like LinkedIn, Facebook, and Twitter to support company goals.  Additionally, she is an international keynote speaker and workshop facilitator who has impacted companies, associations, and entrepreneurs all over the world.
